An autograph collecting update you must read
05/30/2013

There is so much bad material for sale on the entire web right now that many beginning collectors no longer have any idea what an authentic autograph looks like.

Right now if you simply got on the Internet and searched for your favorite stars autograph and then purchased it, the odds are you purchased a forgery. There are a very limited number of sellers that actually offer authentic autographs. Some of these sellers of forgeries have very popular sites and even have convinced people they can be trusted. It is appalling to say the least. We understand that buyers want to trust sellers, but many sellers simply do not know how to obtain authentic material (either in-person themselves or from in-the-street collectors). Yes there is authentic material for sale on the web (including eBay and Amazon) just in very low quantities. Stars just DO NOT sign like they used to. Do you really think that they are unaware of what happens with the autographs, of course they know. In a way, the web is a so called 'double-edge sword'. If it was not for the web buyers and sellers of autographs would have a lot of trouble finding each other but at the same time people of low moral standards are taking advantage and creating their own autographs at home and listing them on the web. Authentic autographs cost money. Simple as that. If all you care about is price you really should not be collecting autographs anyway. You can't be looking for $10 autographs and except them to be authentic (OK certain no-name celebrities will sell for that or less but that is the exception not the rule). No legitimate seller is going to give away their stuff for $10. The age old adage is true here- If it seems to good to be true... We have been offered collection after collection over the years and we have to pass on so much of what is offered to us. It is simply no good. It is a real bummer to have to tell people this and many are devastated (and some are delusional and refuse to believe so). After all it came with a COA so it has to be real. Here is your chance to own the real thing and have a reference to use in the future as you search for authentic material. Buy from us and study it. Over time you will learn. How do you think we learned? Don't forget to visit our authentication database where we have examples of authentic autographs for you to learn from. We can assure you that if all the bad material was suddenly gone from the internet there would very little supply compared to the demand. And yes, we would still be here. Sincerely, World of Autographs P. S. No seller is going to have an endless supply of the following names. If you see a seller listing these week after week run away as fast as possible:
